Is this thing (the Steiner digital wind controller) a musical instrument? Only if it's played musically...just like my trumpet (lifeless until I apply the physics of vibrating lips, airstream, vibrating air molecules). Both digital wind controllers and trumpets (lip-vibrating aerophones) require the sensitivity of a musician playing music sensitively.
