Beau Bledsoe, guitarist and producer, longtime friend, former student, and an exceptional recording artist, once said this about Tom's electric compositions, "You're a Fish in Water with the electric stuff!" I have, indeed, had a very different mindset when playing in the "electric-scape" than when playing acoustic jazz. It challenges me in different ways than when playing, e.g., Miles Davis type compositions from his pre-electric recordings. Now, how do I use that part of my creative mindset when in the midst of relationships? Hmm...
