I was diagnosed with asthma as a child. The doctor advised my mother to have me play a wind instrument. We chose trumpet. Later, at 43, I experienced a widow maker heart attack and almost died. Seven months later I was in a car wreck and lost use of both hands for a few months. These physical maladies sealed the fact that "I was not in control!" God took away my perceived control and replaced it with His Holy Spirit.
