I had a dream. I awoke in a cabin situated in a thick and mountainous forest. A stream roared outside. As I surveyed the surroundings my eyes froze on a huge grizzly bear asleep by the only door. The windows were barred. The bear, now awakening, heightened my fear. I cried out to Jesus, and the stream was suddenly full of a large school of salmon. The bear bounded out the door for breakfast, and I was rescued.

This live video/concert with an in-studio audience was funded by a National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Fellowship (received 1985/completed 1986).
