"Waiting for the Wind to Blow" (Acts 1:4a) was extrapolated from the Gift of Wind Suite then edited for John Bowers’ lyrics and vocals. Tom asked Gregory Tardy to play horn riffs in the studio. Later Tom built a horn section around Greg’s parts (soprano flute, two trumpets, flugelhorn, euphonium). Then Tom recorded pensive and unabashedly Miles Davis influenced mute riffs.
