From the recording Gift of Wind

"Waiting for the Wind to Blow" (Acts 1:4a) began by extrapolating tracks from the Gift of Wind Suite, then edited by adding John Bowers’ insightful lyrics and outstanding vocal. Tom asked Gregory Tardy to play horn riffs in the studio. Later, Tom arranged horn section parts around Greg’s tenor saxophone parts. Tom played those tracks on soprano flute, two trumpets, flugelhorn, and euphonium. Lastly, Tom added pensive and unabashedly Miles Davis influenced mute riffs. It's one of Tom's favorite compositions, particularly those composed in collaboration.
