From the recording Gift of Wind
Laments are passionate expressions of grief, in this case, a musical expression born in compassion for others, a wailing for justice for those who are defenseless. Tom's composition, "Lament for the Stolen Ones," is a reminder of the myriad (a countless number) of men, women, and children, who are stolen every year and forced into slavery and bondage of all kinds, e.g., those stolen and forced into the sex trade or other kinds of forced labor, the "Preborn," who's lives have no breath, their purpose for living conterfeited with a lie, snatched away and forged anew in deception.
