Mark Boling’s compositions K-BYE and Waves 4:00 a.m. are also included on Mark’s compact disc "A Writer’s Tomorrow", 2019 MaBo Music MM-1901. Tom had long wanted to record with Mark’s trio. They had worked together in the 1970s when Tom lived in Knoxville and the renewed relationship via International Cultural Exchange finally made the recording possible and beneficial academically and internationally. "Waves" is a vaguely disguised blues, and is a fine example of Mark's typically sophisticated compositions.
