The Gift of Wind Suite is organized around three sets of scripture: 1. Luke 24: 11-29 is a post-resurrection period when the disciples are not yet comprehending the events. A. He told us this would happen. B. It happened. C. What just happened? During this movement Tom solos on trumpet, Mark plays fils on guitar, then Jay plays a solo on electric bass, all representing the disciples muses. 2. Acts 2:1-4 Gift of Wind. Tenor saxophonist Gregory Tardy plays the role of the Holy Spirit, the "violent rushing wind." 3. Acts 1:8 Witnesses to the Earth!
